Ryan and his son Nathan are superb. When we moved here we tried 3 different electricians. 3 years ago, we were referred to Ryan by another local business man from Patriot Plumbing. Ryan and Amara have always been beyond fair with their work and pricing. They have done simple things from, light switches, to fan installations, outdoor lighting, attic fan repairs, re wiring rooms when we remodeled. They have always followed through with what they say they will do and have NEVER tried to change their estimate and give us hidden charges. I lived in 5 other states before here and 2 other countries. I can tell you without reservation that there is no one that even comes close as far as customer service, personality and value.

RD Matthews is our go-to electrical contractor for all our projects, from custom homes to additions and bathrooms. As a general contractor in the Northern Virginia area we deal with a wide variety of work, and Ryan has delivered and met our needs within budget and on time, every time. Ryan and his two helpers made quick work of the job, were on-time and very professional. Our house is old and the outlets and switches were mismatched and many with layer upon layer of paint on them (we’re selling, it looked terrible). They moved furniture where they needed to, put it back when done and cleaned up after themselves. Ryan suggested the perfect spot to add a can light in my kitchen so it wouldn’t be so dark, and replaced the ancient vanity light in our master bath. Very glad we hired them!

Ryan rocks! We were in a real pinch because the (electric envelope) folder we bought had the wrong 220v plug and the cord was way short of what we needed. Nobody else we reached out to could come the next day, but RD Matthews came that morning, evaluated our needs, and built us a cord ON SITE! We were up and running within a few hours. Price was extremely reasonable as well. Thanks RD Matthews Electrical – you saved the day…and our client!
